Crates are little boxes that will drop from the sky onto the ground, or float in the air using rotor blades. Ground ones must be driven onto to collect them, and airborne ones must be shot with a weapon to be claimed. Grounded ones can also be retrieved with the use of the grappling hook power-up. Once collected, crates will merit items to the collector, such as armour (in deathmatch mode), extra weapons, or points (in points mode). The weapons gained from crates are completely random, so you may end up getting your hands on a deluxe or weapon pack weapon. And both of those are super powerful.
